Replicating a Skull

Skully and his new hand. Look he is smiling...as always as the progress continues, I will keep taking pics and adding...until then kiddies...keep Creeping!
I like the added line up the center, have to keep that detail going throughout...
Side shot so that you can see the detail in the nose and eye bridge bone and socket and cheek.
Skull with first layer of papier mache on it - recipe here is 60% glue and 40% water. Don't want the glue to dry to fast and crack the first layer. Later I might add more glue to the mix. For the first layer I used TP paper so that I can lay out the details on the first coat.
Creating Skulls - I have 2 of the Skull on the right. The one on the left is the other covered in tin foil to protect it from what I am about to do to it. Once I had the foil tight against the model, I covered it all with scotch tape, something easy to remove after. Here I opened the jaws as I am going to make a ground breaker with it.

Awesome Deals and Great Finds

As I am sitting here building up my blog, my house is getting a new face lift. New 2" insulation foam and siding. The best part is that the workers were telling me that they get an abundance of styrofoam from jobs they do and they throw it out. "Can you imagine"

Now the Awesome and Great deal about this is, they said that I can go to their shop and dumpster dive for all the foam I want...WOOT...nothing is better than FREE !! Lets see, how many tombstones do I want to add to my Cemetery!! LOL.

Tombstones made out of plywood will add final paint of grey and epitaphs give a protective coat and they are ready..
